Pick of the Month - September 2019

This year I wanted to showcase the images which I felt were the best I had taken in any one month. They won't necessarily be wildlife orientated and could include landscape or architecture.

SEPTEMBER

Back to Dunwich Heath this month in search of the allusive Wasp Spider (Argiope bruennichi). After much searching I found one. It was a little unfortunate that it was a windy day and the web had been partly destroyed. The wasp spider feeds on grasshoppers so makes its nest low to the ground to catch the grasshoppers.

A few days were spent in and around Hastings learning more about the Battle of Hastings. I always find it interesting to associate the history with the area. I enjoyed Old Hastings with its Net Huts and fishing boats and old buildings and also the very Victorian promenade.
